Hi, I’m Tricia Mumby
I am one of the co-founders of a D2C company called Mabel’s Labels. We grew up in the golden age of social media, pay-per-click and e-commerce. It was an exceptional journey. I believe that a rising tide lifts all boats. Entrepreneurs experience the same market pressures and shifts. Creating a culture of collaboration and sharing knowledge has always been key to my success. I now work as a consultant and mentor to a huge variety of business. I love it. I love being able to make a difference and creating a safe space for founders to kick at the rocks in their path. I genuinely want to see good ideas and clever thinkers rise to the top.
Early on
I have a background in printing, hence the natural pivot into Mabel’s Labels. When it started though, it was to be a side-hustle. It was the simple side project that got completely out of hand. From turning on our fist printer in 2003 to selling the business to the world’s large label company in 2016, it was a truly world ride. Completely bootstrapped and fueled by customer love, my partners and I are very proud of what we accomplished and learned along the way. We were always seeking mentorship, advice, and opportunities to learn from other entrepreneurs. I know it can be difficult to face your weaknesses and vulnerabilities, but I also know it is essential.
Current
It is my great pleasure to work as a mentor and advisor full-time. You may hate your roadblocks, but I will love them. Nothing amazing comes from a perfectly smooth road. Freeways are boring. Let’s take the backroads.
